A pancake evening was recently held at the Community Hall in East Williamston to raise funds to help maintain St. Elidyr's Church.

Gwyneth, Grace and Daphne were cooking pancakes, despite running out of gas! - while Jill and Jean were serving and making teas and coffees.

However, in the hall, Kerry, with help or maybe hindrance, was organising pancake flipping and pancake racing - with a 'how many times could you flip the pancakes over the badminton net before dropping it' contest held, in teams of three racing, flipping over the net and back again.

There were awards for the champion flipper, which was Andrew, while champion team went to Rhys, Auriol and Gwyneth, and overall champion was Ellen.

Thanks go to all who supported the fun evening.

Plans are already in hand to run the same event next year with more challenges!

The next main service in St. Elidyr is Palm Sunday at 10 am - meet at the hall to walk to the church.

Tea and coffee will be served afterwards. On Easter Sunday, the service is at 8.30 am. All are welcome .

The next fundraising events are lunch on Sunday, May 11, in the hall, and 'open gardens' on Sunday, June 22, from 2 - 6 pm.
