Tenby-based artist Guy Manning is undertaking what he describes as a foolish thing - creating a painting every day for a whole year!

He is painting 6x4 size ‘postcards’ combining paints homemade by Guy from Pembrokeshire soil (the ground colours on top of the primed canvas).

The paintings themselves are then finished with beautiful Michael Harding oil paints (also made in Wales).

Each painting will be published online daily - there is a blog which details the paintings as they appear, and Guy already has an ever-growing mailing list who receive a painting every day into their inbox.

“I have already had a lot of interest from people in the UK and in the Welsh communities in the USA,” says Guy.

“The paintings are all for sale, are very affordable and collectable, and they will feature in a book after the project year has expired.”
