A 32-year-old Cosheston man had to be rescued from a popular leisure attraction on Saturday.

Shortly before 3 pm, coastguards in Tenby received a request from ambulance control to assist a crew in recovering the man from the paint-balling area at Heatherton Country Sports Park, St. Florence.

The casualty, who had sustained a fractured leg, was located at the bottom of a 120-foot slope.

His physical condition was stabilised at the scene by paramedics, before he was stretchered to the top of the slope by members of the coastguard team using their cliff rescue equipment.

He was then conveyed by the awaiting ambulance to Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest, for treatment.
