Tenby and District Lions had a roaring day on Sunday, August 25, with their Paella Festival, the last of the summer spectaculars this season.
Thankfully the weather played its part, with the sun shining, and with the paella and drink being served up in fine tradition, it all helped to make it a memorable day of excellent entertainment.
It all started with the Mayor, Clr. Sue Lane, serving the first of the paella, followed by Lion Steve Briers announcing the opening of the entertainment with the Seren Irish Dance troupe, who amazed the crowd with five impressive dance routines.
Local singer Megan Tapper then entertained the audience, followed by guitarist and singer Nicky Thomas and a young dance artist, Dan Dolls, who wowed the crowd with several street dance routines.
For the younger members of the audience, Fergie and Chloe began pulling out party games, before Claudio, the golf genius, mesmerised everyone with his magical golf club and golf ball tricks. He was followed by a more traditional magic show, courtesy of Dave Hitchett.
As the evening drewi in, there was more musical entertainment from Tenby's own rock and blues band, 'The Spanners', followed by Elephant Gerald, while bringing the curtain down on a memorable day was the music of 'Symphony Sid'.
Tenby and District Lions would like to thank the following companies for their support: Celtic Food and Provisions, also Celtic Wines, as main sponsors of the event, also Upton Farm. And finally, a word of thanks from the president, Edward Weldrake.
