Team Littlefoot are delighted to have raised the sum of £2,115.34 at their recent charity evening held at the Regency Hall in Saundersfoot. This will be split between the two charities Ty Hafan and Guide Dogs for the Blind, with each receiving £1057.67
The evening started with the Carmarthen Ukulele Band who got everyone out of their seats with their medley of foot-tapping songs. There was then a fund-raising game of heads and tails, which was won by Peter Stratton, and we would like to say a big thank you to Peter for generously donating back his winnings.
Next was a surprise appearance by the Silent Monks of the Monastery of Monkstoniai Pointelluim, with their rendition of The Hallelujah Chorus. Headphones were then handed out and everyone let their hair down and danced away to the sounds of Saundersfoot’s first charity silent disco provided by ‘Silent Disco Party UK’.
During the evening, two entry tickets were drawn, with the first winner receiving a £100 voucher for Powells Holiday Cottages and the second a £100 money tree made up of £5 donations from 20 village businesses. Thanks to all who donated.
Team Littlefoot would also like to say a big thank you to the 54 businesses who donated to our grand raffle, all those who gave up their time before and during the evening and finally everyone who attended and made the evening such a great successful fund-raising event.
