Over 700 school children were given talks on Wednesday as part of Neighbourhoods in Action. The Neighbourhood Policing Team and Environmental Health Officers delivered talks on anti-social behaviour and noise awareness. Wednesday's activity took place in Tenby, Narberth and Saundersfoot. The roadshow at Narberth was themed on home safety with a chip pan fire demonstration being carried out by the Mid and West Wales Fire Service. Throughout the day, pupils from Narberth CP School attended the road show and were shown how to make bags out of recycled newspapers. At Tenby Junior School, the police and Clr. David Simpson helped pupils and parents clear part of their wildlife area and put in a night line. The night line allows children to put on eye masks and follow the line improving their awareness of their environment, whilst building their confidence and communication  skills. The Mayor of Narberth, Clr. Suzanne Radford-Smith meanwhile helped with clearance of ground at the Bus Stop Youth Club which resulted in 50 bags of rubbish and shubbery. Wednesday's other results included: 11 verbal warnings for parking; speed checks in New Hedges, Saundersfoot, Narberth and Tenby; one warning letter issued by housing; six vehicles clamped by the DVLA for no car tax; one vehicle seized; 25 home fire safety referrals. Yesterday (Thursday's) roadshow took place at Asda in Pembroke Dock and was themed around substance misuse. The week is being supported by Dyfed Powys Police, Mid and West Wales Fire Service, Pembrokeshire County Council, PAVs, Frame, Wickes, Chevron, Princes Gate, Milford Haven Port Authority, Tesco, Morrisons, Woolworths, The Queens Hall, RNLI, Oakwood and Quadra Boats.
