This Sunday, August 12, sees the annual Pendine Dash, which is a road run especially for MG cars. Currently, 123 MG's from all over the United Kingdom are due to take part. The event starts at the Forge Garage at St. Clears and follows the coast road through Laugharne to Tenby, before travelling via the Ridgeway to Pembroke, Angle, Bosherston, Freshwater East, Lamphey, Milton, Carew and finishing at Picton Castle, a total distance of 85 miles. The cars should be travelling through Tenby from approximately 10.15 onwards and are due to reach Picton Castle from around 2.30 pm. It should provide quite a spectacle, with the oldest MG taking part being a 1939 MG TA. And what's more, it's all in aid of charity, with proceeds going to the Ty Hafan Children's Hospice and the Martin Roberts Fund.
