The Interact International Multi District Rally 2007, sponsored by and held in Rotary District 1150 (South Wales, Mid Wales and West Wales) at the Morfa Bay Adventure, West Park, Pendine, during the week-end of July 27-29, proved to be an extremely successful event, attended by 100-plus Interactors, Rotaractors and Rotarians from all over Britain and Ireland, together with an exchange team from North Carolina, USA, who participated in the many activities arranged. Amongst the several awards given to teams at the conclusion of the weekend was a Rotary International Britain and Ireland Best International Project Shield, presented to the Interact Team from Ysgol Gyfyn Dyffryn Taf, Whitland, for a School Library Project in Ethiopia. Rotary would like to thank District Interact chairman Gwenda Griffiths, director Jenny Owen and centre manager David Griffiths for their organisation and the excellent facilities provided, and also RIBI, Lonetree Limited and Folly Farm who kindly sponsored the weekend. • Interact is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young people aged 14 to 18. The programme gives young people an opportunity to participate in fun, meaningful service projects, while developing leadership skills and meeting new friends. Through service activities, Interactors learn the importance of: developing leadership skills and personal integrity; demonstrating helpfulness and respect for others; and advancing international understanding and goodwill.
