A Pembrokeshire village will echo to the sounds of the Australian outback on Sunday (25th) - but there’s an outside chance the concert might be disrupted by an accident at sea.

To explain: Mike Chant, multi-instrumentalist will be starring in the latest Music at Lunchtime at St. Jerome’s church, Llangwm, and one of the many instruments he’ll be bringing along is his didgeridoo, a long pipe-like wind instrument developed by Aboriginal tribes.

Mike is also a crew member of the St. David’s lifeboat - but says a last-minute call-out is unlikely to disrupt his performance.

“Don’t worry, there’s plenty of crew cover,” he said.

Mike has been creating music for more than 35 years, recording many albums, and performing as far afield as San Francisco and Goa in India.

For a prior taste of his music, he can be found, with and without the didgeridoo, on YouTube.

Mike’s performance will be the fifth in the series of lunchtime concerts, each one so far a sell-out, attracting people from all over the county.

With the series due to reach its end after the next performance, Two Pianos starring Samuel Howley and Seimon Morris on March 11, the organisers are currently looking at the possibility of extending the series into the spring.

Tickets for Music at Lunchtime can be bought online (www.heritagellangwm.org.uk/concerts) or from Pamela Hunt (01437 899966).
