Narberth 14 pts. Whitland 10
Narberth retained the Chevron Pembrokeshire Rugby Knock-out Cup on Wednesday night with a 14-10 victory over Whitland in a closely contested final, at Crymych, which either team could have won up until the final whistle.
The Otters had a half-time lead of 11 points after an unconverted try by centre Steve Martin and two penalties from outside-half Aled Davies.
Whitland came back strongly playing down the slope in the second half with a penalty by fullback Carwyn Jones and a try by winger Will Davies, converted by Carwyn Jones, to narrow the gap between the teams to one point.
A late penalty kick by Aled Davies to extend the Narberth lead was a setback for the Borderers, who were unable to score another try to win the match.
Aled Davies was chosen as man of the match.
A full report and more pictures of the final will appear in next week's issue.
