A local holiday park had an unexpected visitor this week - an otter!

The animal mysteriously found its way into the laundrette at Meadow House Holiday Park, near Amroth, on Monday.

The otter, which was in good health, was subsequently rescued by wildlife worker Maria Evans, of nearby Tinkers Hill.

It later transpired that the otter had in fact escaped from its cage at the wildlife sanctuary after Maria had been to its aid the day before when it had been found in a shed at a property in Ludchurch.

After returning to Tinkers Hill with Maria for the second time, the otter was taken by the RSPCA to their centre outside Taunton.
