Narberth RFC stalwart John Mathias was thrilled to hear recently that he had won the first prize of £3,000 in the WRU lottery.

John who lives in Narberth has a lifetime association with Narberth RFC having served the club for nearly 60 years as a player, captain, chairman and treasurer for ten years. He is also a life member.

Martin Lewis, the Narberth WRU Lottery organizer said he was delighted for John as he had done so much work and fundraising for the Otters over many years.

The cheque was presented to John at the Clubhouse by Martin Lewis and President Dorian Howells who was the first to congratulate John last week.
