New footpath work will commence on January 6 in the Coxhill area of Narberth.

Meanwhile, work on a new footpath from the swimming pool to John Morgan Close will be completed by December 19.

"Schemes already completed are Station Road, Narberth Millpond and crossing points at Highfield Park," said County Clr. Wynne Evans.

"Those in the planning application stage include a new footpath from Jesse Road to Station Road, allowing a safe route for school children to access the swimming pool from the primary school," he continued.

"My grateful thanks go to the landowners and in particular Narberth Football Club, who I have met with."

Elsewhere, there will be new crossing points in Spring Gardens and upper Northfield Road (work at that location commences on January 9).

Added Clr. Evans: "I am also looking at some possible traffic calming measures in upper Northfield Road in the coming months and will be consulting with local residents in early spring."
