A stranded lamb from Stack Rocks has been rescued this afternoon (Wednesday, May 6) after it fell from a 150 foot cliff. The lamb had been stranded since last Friday. Despite efforts today, the second lamb couldn't be located.
Giving an update on the matter on Facebook, Lizzy Austwick shared: “The RNLI just attended Stack Rocks and saved one lamb thank you.
“Thanks to the dedication and hardwork of Cerrianne who first spotted the lambs. She has been working diligently to bring public awareness of the lambs’ plight and reached out to get them rescue assistance and organising volunteers.
“The RNLI and Coastguard have just attended Stack Rocks and successfully recovered one lamb from the base of the cliff by boat to land further down the range. Massive thank you to everyone involved.
Lizzy said that lots of amazing people came together, showcasing the best of Pembrokeshire’s ‘community spirit’.

As well as RNLI volunteers and Coastguard, also on scene was tree surgeon Callum Jones, from Mighty Oaks Tree Care, who remained on standby, ready to assist if required.
“Huge thank you to everyone who offered help and came together to make this possible,” she added.
