Narberth's former primary school was targeted by vandals again last Friday evening.

"On this occasion, 11 further windows were smashed," said County Clr. Wynne Evans this week.

The school in Moorfield Road has stood empty for nearly four years.

Added Clr. Evans: "In recent weeks, there has been much activity with prospective purchasers for the old school site which we cannot disclose at present due to the fact it is deemed commercially sensitive.

"The building itself is becoming quite an eyesore in its present condition and is not a good first impression for visitors to the town.

"I urge the county council to finalise the disposal of this building within the coming few weeks."

A spokeswoman for the local authority said that maintenance workers had boarded up the windows of the building and the council was 'still in the process of selecting a developer.'
