Thirty-two pupils from Pembroke School will shortly be jetting off to South Africa for two weeks where they will play netball and hockey matches against schools in Cape Town and Johannesburg. The girls, together with their games teachers Diane Morris and Louise Hurlow, recently met the Mayors of Pembroke Dock and Pembroke, when they received plaques and memorabilia which will be presented as mementos of their visit. Diane Morris explained that the cost of the 'once in a lifetime' visit was raised by the girls obtaining sponsorship, taking part in the Tenby Boxing Day swim, organising discos and raffling a Welsh rugby shirt donated by former pupil Jonathan Thomas.
