Oakwood Theme Park is offering local singers, musicians and bands the opportunity to perform in front of big crowds at their popular After Dark events in August.
The Narberth attraction is opening from 10 am - 10 pm on every Wednesday and Saturday throughout August, with a ninth late-night event taking place on Bank Holiday Monday.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy illuminated rides, laser displays and DJs, dancers and live music as part of the late night entertainment with a fireworks finalé every night.
Other attractions include the return of last year’s Colourfest UV Paint Party, where visitors will be able to join in the fun, dance to the music and get covered in a kaleidoscope of brightly coloured paints.
All guests planning to take part are being urged to bring clothes - ideally white tops – which they do not mind getting covered in paint.
Organisers are also planning to launch a secret new feature for this year’s After Dark events.
Oakwood Theme Park’s Phil Verbinnen said: “We’re expecting to welcome thousands of visitors throughout August and we want to hear from local bands and musicians who would like the chance to perform in front of large audiences.
“The park has its own purpose-built stage and it will be a wonderful opportunity for up-and-coming talent to experience playing in front of hundreds, if not thousands, of people,” he added.
Set in 90 acres of spectacular Pembrokeshire countryside, Oakwood is one of the UK’s leading theme parks with more than 30 exhilarating attractions; including four world class rides to enjoy.
Later this summer the park is opening ‘Dahland’ - a brand new zone inspired by the works of Roald Dahl.
Among the new attractions is the ‘Flight of the Giant Peach’ ride, ‘Aunt Sponge and Aunt Spiker’s House’ walkthrough attraction and ‘The Magnifitorium’ - a New York-themed area for live shows, character appearances and performances.
