Local AM Joyce Watson praised the news that all nurses in Pembrokeshire can expect a full pay award. Nurses and other health service staff will receive a pay increase of 2.5 per cent this year - which will be backdated to April 1. Mid and West Wales Labour AM Joyce Watson said: "I know how hardworking and dedicated our health service staff are and I am delighted that Labour's Health Minister has given local nurses their well- deserved pay rise in full. "Welsh Labour is committed to the Welsh NHS and its staff, so this pay award will cover other hospital workers as well as our nurses. "Many of my constituents have been concerned about this issue, so I am very pleased Welsh Labour has taken this important step. "This move will help improve staff morale within the NHS and demonstrates how much Labour values the commitment of our hospital staff.'"
