Sir,

I was saddened to read in last week's Tenby Observer that our MP, Simon Hart, was pictured giving his 'stamp of approval' to Narberth's new Foodbank.

Surely in this day and age he should be doing everything in his power to find out why this is happening in the first place?

Two more foodbanks will be opening in Pembrokeshire next year and the Trussell Trust has said it has distributed food to 350,000 people in the UK, between April and September compared with 113,264 during the same period in 2012.

It handed out food to more people during those six months than in the whole of 2012.

This is hardly anything for our elected official to be proud of?
