Following a Tenby town councillor's request to Pembrokeshire County Council to consider placing a crossing island in The Norton for pedestrians' safety, the authority's traffic manager, John Price, has responded with details of a proposal to site a crossing near the access to Merlins Court.
"The road width is adequate, there is a local street light and the sightline in both directions is good for pedestrians to cross," wrote Mr. Price in a letter to the town council at their meeting on Tuesday evening.
However, Clr. Trevor Hallett, who originally suggested that a crossing be looked into in that area, said he would rather see one placed between The Glebe and Silent World.
