Nolan Charity Fund recently presented iPads and DVD players to Withybush, Glangwili and Bronglais Hospitals worth over £1,300.

The iPads and DVD players will make a huge difference to patient experience and will go towards making a stay in hospital as relaxing and comfortable as possible while keeping children amused during their illness.

The Nolan Charity Fund is a Welsh charity set up in 2015 by uPVC businessman Nolan Nicholas to work hand in hand for the benefit of worthy causes in Wales.

Sarah Cleevely, fundraising and events manager, Nolan Charity Fund, said: “I was delighted to meet the staff on the new children’s ward at Withybush Hospital and to be able to present them with iPads and DVD players. I am pleased that the Nolan Charity Fund has been able to provide Hywel Dda Health Charities with this support and the children in its care. I hope the equipment we have donated will go some way in providing the children visiting Withybush, Bronglais and Glangwili hospitals with some comfort during their stay.”

Sandra Jones, play services managerm said: “These items will go towards making a stay in hospital as relaxing and comfortable as possible and will distract children from their illness and pain during their treatment. Sometimes children spend a long time in hospital and we try and ensure that things are as normal as possible with DVDs and familiar games that they would have at home. These items will help us provide the highest possible service to our patients. Thank you!”
