Unfortunately, Narberth failed to do the double on the Quins, but never gave up in this exciting match.
Narberth's inexperienced backline cracked under the superior running ability of the Quins' centres and allowed in three tries in the first half.
However, the Otters' pack outmuscled their opponents in the second phase exchanges, with second row Brynley Toms and newcomer Toby Jenkins making good ground with their direct running, while prop Lloyd Scott supported well in the rucks.
The brave tackling and cover defence from Steffan Davies, Jenkins, Aidan Staples and Nathan Lloyd stopped more tries and encouraged the rest of the team to dig deep with the score at 15-nil.
This resulted in three home scores, the first from Sam Mills who scored after selling an outrageous dummy after breaking from a scrum near the opposition line. Sam has improved considerably and had his best match so far.
Aidan Staples, while playing out of position, showed great speed and determination and rounded a sleepy defence to score Narberth's second try.
Toms rounded off the Otters' scoring late in the game with a typical power try from 10 metres out, but not before the visitors took advantage of the space allowed them by the makeshift Otters backline and outstripped the defence to score two easy tries.
