YearS 7 and 8 Morning Christmas Reading

NETBALL

Greenhill Year 8 v Fishguard: On Wednesday, December 10, Greenhill School played against Fishguard. It was a good game and the final score was 5-0 to Greenhill. It was a very back and forth game. However, Greenhill managed to get the goals. Player-of-the-match was Jodie Cullen, who was an exceptionally good shooter. Team: Jodie Dickenson (C); Ellie Wainwright (GS); Jodie Cullen (GA); Bethan Owen (WA); Kate Williams (WD); Jodie Brace (GD); Broke Finlay (GK); and Emily Carling (reserve). It was a great game girls, well done!

FOOTBALL

Greenhill U14 (girls) v Preseli: This was a home match on Wednesday, December 10. Preseli started off well in the first half and were up for it and strong. It was also an exciting start for Greenhill, as they were trying hard, and amazingly Hanna Lewis came shooting through and scored five goals before the half-time whistle. Both teams were amazing.

Then, as Greenhill were about to start the second half, there was a freezing cold wind and both teams were cold.

Nevertheless, they kicked-off and about five minutes into the game Maisie John scored a cracking goal. Not long after, Holly Furlong scored another and a couple of minutes later, Maisie scored again - excellent pieces of play.

After a centre pass a few minutes later, Preseli scored a good goal. Greenhill then had centre kick-off and in the last five minutes, Rebekah Gwyther scored, resulting in Greenhill winning 9-1 - an excellent result.
