Tenby Field Trip

Over the past two weeks, each student in Year 9 was given the opportunity to attend a field trip to Tenby. The field trip was intended to give students the opportunity to achieve their potential in the forthcoming end of KS3 marks. On the trip, students were given the opportunity to build their geographical skills such as field sketching and were able to visit sea defence schemes that they had previously studied in the classroom. The field trip will be followed up in class by students. Over 200 students attended the trips with their classroom teacher. All students enjoyed the opportunity, and have expressed an interest in a follow-up trip. The geography department wants to thank all staff in Greenhill School for their support to run this fantastic opportunity.

Daffodil planting

Students from 8NCGG4X took time out from their studies to plant daffodils in the school grounds recently. The daffodils were given to the students by Mrs. Sue Lane from Tenby in Bloom. The students decided to plant the bulbs in two patches of land, firstly in the new patch of grass leading to the sixth form block, and also in the patch of land behind room 804. Students wanted to plant the bulbs where they can watch them grow while studying. All students enjoyed the experience, and are now looking foward to seeing the fruits of their labours in the springtime.
