ROYAL FESTIVAL HALL PERFORMANCE
Everyone in school sends their good wishes to the 100-strong orchestra who are travelling to London today (Friday) to take part in the Festival of Music for Youth tomorrow (Saturday).
The performing arts department has spent months perfecting a high-class programme to perform tomorrow in front of the best school orchestras in the whole country.
Congratulations to everyone and a special thanks to all the staff of the performing arts faculty for their unstinting hard work and tuition.
YEAR 10 WORK EXPERIENCE
Last week, the numbers in school dwindled to the all-time annual low, when Year 10 entered the wide world of work.
They went into the community to get a taster of what it is like to experience a place of adult work with all its connotations.
The school would like to thank all the businesses that agreed to take the students for this compulsory week of work experience.
SCHOOL TRIPS
This week has been extremely busy for school trips.
Last Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, all students in Year 7 went on a field trip to Bosherston and Pembroke Castle, as part of their humanities syllabus. A good time was had by all.
On Tuesday, two coach fulls of Year 7 students spent a very enjoyable day at St. Fagan's Folk Museum. The weather was kind and everyone benefited by the experience.
