Computer classes: Would you like to speak for free with friends and relatives who live far away or even abroad? Maybe you would find useful to do some of your shopping online, for the things you can't get locally. You might have heard of Facebook and how it gets people in touch with old friends one has lost touch with. These are just some of the many things you can learn during the computer classes in the Whitland Memorial Hall on Thursdays afternoons. Classes restart next week on Thursday, April 11, and will continue weekly until the end of June. If you already know the basics of how to use a computer, but would like to learn a bit more, there are some spaces available in the 2.15 pm class. For absolute beginners, a new class will start after the summer holidays. To register your interest and for more information, please contact Diane Evans on 01994 240447.

Coffee morning: Thank you to all who supported the coffee morning held recently at the Memorial Hall. Despite the very unpleasant wet morning, an impressive £346.50 was raised. This money helps to 'subsidise' the income from the hire of the hall and enables the hire charges to be kept as low as possible. Without these fundraising events, this would not be possible and we thank the people of Whitland for making it possible. The next event will be the Strawberry Cream Teas on June 22.
