Bump to Baby: A new weekly group for mothers and babies, from pregnancy to babies nine-months-old started this week. It is held every Tuesday at Whitland Memorial Hall, from 10 am - 11.30 am. 1st Whitland Rainbows: Rainbows is the Girl Guiding section for girls aged five to seven. It follows a programme called the Rainbow Jigsaw, involving a wide range of activities and games. It is all about learning, developing self-confidence, building friendships and, having lots of fun! It meets on Wednesdays (5.30 to 6.30 pm) in Whitland Memorial Hall. Computer classes: Would you like to be able to speak for free with friends and relatives who live far away or even abroad? Maybe you would find it useful to do some of your shopping online, for the things you can't get locally. You might have heard of Facebook and how it gets people in touch with old friends one has lost touch with. These are just some of the many things you can learn during the computer classes in the Whitland Memorial Hall on Thursdays (1 pm for beginners and 2.15 pm for the non-beginners). Job Club: The next Job Club is on Wednesday, February 13, from 2 to 4 pm. The club is open to all, is free and informal and provides help to people looking for work. There is free use of computers and internet access for job searches, with help on how to navigate through the system. Job vacancies in the area are posted weekly on the Job Club notice board and Workways officers attend the club to give advice and support.
Debt and benefit advice surgery: Are you getting what you are entitled to? Do you need help with money matters? A Carmarthenshire County Council officer will in the Whitland Memorial Hall next Wednesday, February 13, from 2 to 4 pm to give 100 per cent free, impartial and confidential advice on how to manage debt, budgeting, benefit claims, getting back to work, volunteering, entitlement checks and changes to the benefits system in the forthcoming months. True Relax: Do the long, wet, dark and dull winter days make you feel tired, run down and depressed?
