Early Years pupils at Tenby Infants enjoying the fun and helping to raise funds for Breast Cancer Awareness Week. The whole school enjoyed a fun day with the theme Pink or Punk. A very successful Pink Cake Sale took place in the main hall at the end of the day. A very big thank you to all those who took part.
Anti-bullying meeting
The Year 2 school councillors travelled to Pembroke Dock Youth Centre for a meeting on anti-bullying. There were workshops where the children discussed the differences and similarities we all share. Then they all worked together to draw bricks about themselves and gradually built a wall that was special to their group. There was lots of fun and action and the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and have many ideas to bring back to school council meetings.
Storytelling
Mary Medlicott (seen pictured right), a local author, visited Tenby VC Infants School for a morning of storytelling.
Her new book, 'Shami's Tall Tales', was the focus for the storytelling session.
All the Year 2 children participated with their own stories and songs.
This session was a follow on from a course run by Mary Medlicott for teachers.
Mrs. Williams was one of the fortunate teachers to have been on the course and has established storytelling within the school.
Time Line
As part of an ongoing project, the children from Tenby VC Infants School have designed a Time line of The Life of Jesus. Children have drawn their pictures of different times in Jesus' life and these have been painted onto the wall in the school.
