LENTEN PROJECT
Enterprise Day raised £348.78 towards the St. Teilo's Parish Lenten project that sought to raise funds for Home-Carers caring for HIV/AIDS patients in Wasaidizi wa Wagonjwa wa Nyumbani, Nakuru, Kenya East Africa!
Each class had spent the week in teams exploring their talents to see what each could contribute, devising what they could make, and then sourcing materials and making items to sell on the day.
They had to balance their creative ideas with the cost to make the items and the possible sale price that they might achieve.
Sir Alan Sugar look to St. Teilo's for your next 'Apprentice'!
Everyone dressed in rainbow colours for the day and the sale of badges, paper flowers, poems, cakes, mother's day baskets and handprint cards, smelly candles, beaded bracelets, quiz sheets, handmade posters, hair bobbles, painted clay pots, and many other items was a very exciting occasion. Well done to everyone who took part!
MUSIC QUIZ NIGHT
Thank you to all those who supported the music quiz, ably compered by Chris Neye. Thank you to Chris, 'The Friends' for organising and to Tenby Rugby Club for generously hosting the event. The music quiz and Easter raffle combined raised £98 towards school educational equipment.
In addition, the money that the Early Years department raised on the trampoline raffle at Christmas, plus their Cake Friday, allowed them to purchase a CD listening centre with headphones that the children are now enjoying. Thank you again to Atlantic Trampolines and all who donated prizes and cakes.
WELL DONE
