FIREFIGHTERS'
VISIT
On February 28, some Pembroke Dock firefighters came to St. Oswald's School, Jeffreyston. They came to show us how to handle fire.
A firefighter showed us what you should do when you are on fire. After that, he showed us their clothing and what they're made of.
Next we went and saw all the equipment in a fire engine. We were allowed three at a time to go in the fire engine.
We had a brilliant time and learnt a lot.
We would like to thank the firefighters of White Watch for coming to St. Oswalds.
ST. DAVIDS DAY
On March 1, St. Oswald's School celebrated St. David's Day. All five classes recited either a song, a play or a poem.
Class One sang 'Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes' in Welsh and Y Cowl.
Class Two performed folk dancing, Plant bach, Adeil adu Ty bach, Sospan fach and Troed yn taro.
Class Three performed a play about Dewi Sant and a song called Aderryn Melyn.

TENNIS
TOURNAMENT
On Sunday, March 3, pupils from St. Oswald's VA School travelled to 'The Dome' at Tasker Milward School to take part in Pembrokshire's Mini Tennis Red Tournament. They had a very successful day.
Anna Lewis, Mari Davies, Elizabeth Longster, Patrick Elliott and Matthew Lewis all got to the quarter-finals.
David Colquhoun was runner-up in the under eights section. David, in particular, did very well as he had only been to two tennis lessons before the competition.
We would like to thank Robert Tweed for organising the tournament. We really enjoyed our day.
