Chairman of St. Florence History Society, Mr. Alan Lesser, visited the village's school last week to give a presentation and talk to pupils of Years 5 and 6. The society aims to initiate and promote research of the history of St. Florence and its surrounding area. Anyone who can supply old photographs of the village to be scanned and compiled on to a CD by the society for viewing at Scolton Manor is asked to contact the school. All photos will be returned to the owners.

Year 6 pupils of St. Florence School recently enjoyed a week of activities at Morfa Bay.

Key stage 2 pupils were recently taught by Set Point Wales how to create robots.

Members of the school's girls football team recently competed at a tournament held at Tenby Leisure Centre.

The school's swimming gala was held at Tenby Leisure Centre last week. Pictured are the captains of the winning red team, Nathan Scott and Angharad Lear.

Pupils from Years 2, 3 and 4 recently visited Castell Henllys as part of their history work on the topic of Celts. Children were given the chance to help create a wattle daub wall as the foundation of one of the roundhouses.

Year 3 and 4 pupils recently went pond dipping at Pwllcrochan Field Centre as part of their work on habitats and science.

Pupils of Years 5 and 6 were recently visited by environmental arts group, Sculpture By The Sea. Their final piece, an artistic willow flower creation, will be displayed at Colby Woodland Gardens.

Pupils also enjoyed a woodland walk looking at wild flowers.
