GYMNASTICS COMPETITION

Saundersfoot gym teams took part in the annual Pembrokeshire schools gym competition in Tenby Leisure Centre last Thursday. Children from Years 3 to Year 6 took part, and had an extremely enjoyable and successful day.

Year 3 gymnastics: Daniel Williams, Harry Palin, James Lloyd, Hannah Gray, Heather Chambers, Rachel Hensman and Faye Hilling. James was placed fifth overall, Rachel was eighth and Faye fifth overall.

Year 4 gymnasts: Dylan Griffin, Joe Denis, Mollie Staples, Tessa Elliott, Jade Hicks, Saskia Parker, Bethan Gosnold, Taryn Williams, Catherine Hare and Georgia Busby. The girls team was placed third overall.

Year 5 gymnasts: A very brave Jordan Watkins, Josh Palin, Elinor Lloyd, Bethan Roberts, Olivia Morris, Laura Jenkins, Emily Brace and Rebecca Brockhart. The girls team was placed third overall, Bethan was placed seventh and Olivia fifth.

Year 6 gymnasts: Jodie Smith, Megan Brace, Jasmine Langdon and Kasha Lanham.

A massive well done to all the gymnasts who competed! And a big thank you to Oakwood and Rachel and Paul Hughes (organisers).

URDD NETBALL

Saundersfoot netball team were runners-up in the second round of the Urdd tournament held at Preseli on January 29. It was a close run competition, Saundersfoot winning three out of four matches, but losing in the final match (in the final minutes) 7-5.

Team: Captain and Centre Leone Evans, GS Chloe Bull, GA Kasha Lanham, WA Jodie Smith, WD Beth Allen, GD Sara Jones, GK Gemma Amos. Reserves - Ian Scarrott and Chloe Wallis.
