The Year 2 and year 3 Swimming Gala for pupils at Narberth CP School recently took place in the Swimming Pool. During the weeks leading up to the gala, the children had been busy working hard towards the event. At the end of the morning, following keen competition, Magpies emerged the winners. 'Walking bus' poster winners
Last week, over 60 pupils took part in the 'Walking to School' promotion. Three pick-up points were allocated where pupils met the JRSO's and other adults and then walked to school. The difference in the amount of traffic outside the school was very noticeable. To encourage this, all classes took part in a 'design a poster' competition and the individual winners were Toby Watling, Freya Lewis, Megan Wigmore, Petie Dudman, Zandrea Dixon, Daisy Brook-Peters, Siriol Jenkins, Jay Cloud, Rachel Thompson and Bethan Howes, along with the school junior road safety officers, Philly Gallagher, Tarn Whitehead, Thomas Dunlop, Jordan Howell, Katie Symmonds and Luke Davies.
Welsh cricketer
We are all very proud of one of our pupils, Jordan Howell in Dosbarth, who has been selected for the Under 11s Welsh cricket team. Jordan has already played a number of games for the team and will be going on tour in the Birmingham area next week. We wish him well for the future and will be looking out for his name for many years to come.
Kerbcraft Presentation
Road safety awarness is very important to children of all ages and again Year 1 pupils underwent this training over the past few months. At last week's special assembly they were presented with their certificates by Helen Morris, kerbcraft co-ordinator.
LAST DAY AT SCHOOL for Year 5/6 pupils
Year 5/6 pupils on their last day of term before going on to higher education. Pupils are split between three schools this year, Ygsol Preseli, Dyffryn Taf and Thomas Picton.
