All the junior children visited Castell Henllys as part of their project work on the Celts. A group of Year 4/5 children took part in an Odyssey Project. They visited Scolton Manor and participated in workshops, working with storytellers, artists etc.

The Harvest Festival at St. Andrew's Church was well attended by pupils, staff, parents and friends. Parent volunteers had been busy decorating the church with contributions of flowers, fruit and vegetables. With the collection and sale of produce a sum of £275 was made and will be donated to Kidney Research.

The school choir, invited by Narberth and Whitland Rotary Club, entertained a group of South African visitors at Plas Hyfryd Hotel. They sang English and Welsh songs and thrilled both visitors and members of the club.

Urdd football and netball: Teams took part in both these competitions. A number of teams visited Tavernspite CP School to play rugby, football and netball and enjoyed a very competitive yet friendly afternoon.

Year 6 children enjoyed their visit to Crucial Crew at the Showground, Haverfordwest.

A group of junior children from Dosbarth 4 and 5 enjoyed a packed weekend of activities at the Urdd Camp at Llangrannog.

The Landsker Pageant 'Pontio Hi' proved a great success. A large number of children participated in the different scenes and chorus items and performed at both venues – Preseli and Greenhill Schools.

A large number of visitors have visited us recently. Roger McGough, a poet, shared his thoughts and poems with the junior children. Menna Elfy, a Welsh bard, worked with Dosbarth 5 children concentrating on script work from a Welsh folk tale.

On November 12, Class 4 and Dosbarth 5 children attended a Remembrance Service at the Cenotaph in Narberth and laid a poppy wreath. Rev. A. Chiplin, chaplain to the British Legion, led the service and was joined by Rev. C. Rees and Rev. R. Gordon, along with many members of the British Legion.

The 'Ffrindiau Ysgol Arberth' held a very successful Firework Evening and Disco at the Rugby Club where a total of £783 was raised for the Aimee Williams Trust Fund.

Everyone is also busy preparing for the Christmas Bazaar on Thursday, December 6, and we look forward to the usual good turnout. Parents have been busy in craft evenings held at the school making items to be sold at the Bazaar.
