As the 2011 Rugby World Cup is well underway, Carew Wesley Youth Club thought it would be a good time to hold a themed evening and what better country to pick than New Zealand.
Ollie, junior leader, kindly volunteered to organise the evening.
Ollie and James started the night off by telling the group some interesting facts about New Zealand, and this was followed by a quiz.
Obviously the evening was peppered with lots of information about rugby and, as it was the night before Wales played Ireland, everyone was very excited and looking forward to the match.
Thanks go to all the leaders who cooked some fantastic lamb burgers, which were served with mint sauce.
Gwen made some Maori biscuits and it was all rounded off with, what else, but kiwi fruit!
The evening ended with the haka; Ollie had the words and the leaders were put through their paces in learning both the moves and the words. Some of those leaders showed some mean moves.
To finish off, everyone had a go at the haka, which was great fun.
Thanks go to Ollie and the young leaders for putting together such an enjoyable evening - all they want now is for Wales to bring home the Webb Ellis Cup from New Zealand!
