I see in the December Tenby Times the custom of water sprinkling.

We dipped a sprig of mistletoe into a glass of water and sprinkled the water onto the forehead and wished the lucky person a happy new year. If they were kind, we would get a 3p piece placed into the glass for our efforts.

My good friend Delysia remembers this well. How many more people can recollect this wonderful custom?
