The news comes as statistics are revealed which shows the resort's inshore and all-weather RNLI lifeboats launched 67 times last year, an increase of 36 per cent on launches the previous year.
With 27 call-outs for the all-weather lifeboat and 40 for the inshore lifeboat, Tenby was the second busiest station in Wales, beaten only by Rhyl.
The volunteer RNLI crew at Tenby spent 81-and-a-half hours at sea and rescued 52 people.
The RNLI's first lifeguarding season in Pembrokeshire also proved to be a busy period, with 509 incidents and 561 people assisted on the county's beaches between Poppit Sands and Amroth.
Today (Friday) sees the RNLI charity celebrate its biggest fund-raising day of the year, with fun-filled events from 'Spots and Stripes On Socks' at St. Teilo's School in Tenby to a 'Safety Optimises Success event' at Chevron.
