A new outdoor market starts in Tenby on Wednesday, May 8.

Explained Jenny Davies, of Aerobeach: "I am a member of Tenby Chamber of Trade and Tourism and together with the support of Tenby Town Council, and Mike Evans, our County Councillor, we are starting a new outdoor market in the centre of Tenby. I will be the market manager and will be working with Sue Roberts from Lollies, who is the Tenby Chamber of Trade and Tourism secretary.

"We feel this is the way forward to help with the regeneration of Tenby, which we consider to be all about people coming into the town and staying here. This will increase the footfall for everyone and make it more likely that people will invest in the town.

"We want to make it very obvious to everybody that this is an inclusive operation from which everybody trading in the town can benefit. We want to improve the experience for both local shoppers and visitors to the town. We are trying to get as many stalls as we can with local produce, crafts and artists."

Continued Jenny: "The market will initially be in Tudor Square spreading up the High Street as we get more stalls. We hope to do this twice a month on Wednesdays and more if possible.

"It will sell a range of products, including produce, arts and crafts, etc. It's going to be fantastic!"
