Signage to notify the public that toilet facilities are available at Tenby's De Valence Pavilion is set to be introduced outside the building.

Town councillors have long campaigned Pembrokeshire County Council to get further public conveniences opened in and around the resort, but recently took the matter into their own hands by agreeing to open the De Valence facilities in Upper Frog Street to the public.

The town clerk told members at Tuesday night's meeting that the county council had agreed to pay a contribution for the running costs from July to March, as part of the 'public facilities grant scheme'.

Clr. Mike Evans felt that it would be worthwhile to put an A-board sign outside the building to notify the public of the facility.

He also suggested that it would be a good idea to put further information in the notice boards outside the De Valence to let people know where the town's Tourist Information Centre and National Park Centre were located.
