AMROTH-based artist Geoff Yeomans is the latest artist to show his work at the Emrys Gallery at 15 High Street, Haverfordwest.

Geoff is a long established artist, originally from Birkenhead, whose work has been widely exhibited throughout the country.

Originally a portraitist, in recent years his work has explored landscape and still life, particularly focussing on colour and texture. He finds inspiration in the landscapes and seascapes of West Wales, but also in the rusted side of a shipwreck or a corrugated iron fence. One painting can be seen in a number of ways.

Geoff Yeomans believes that the function of paintings is not merely as decoration, but to "promote meditation and thought like Gregorian chant, Bach or Beethoven." This work rewards the viewer who takes time over it.

The exhibition is on show until Saturday, August 4, Monday - Saturday, 9.30 am - 5 pm.
