Pure West Radio, a new local community based radio station serving Pembrokeshire, has chosen Paul Sartori Hospice at Home as their local charity partner during 2018.

Toni Dorkings community fundraiser, and Sandra Dade, charity manager from Paul Sartori, recently met-up with Toby Ellis, station manager at Pure West Radio, to discuss the charity partnership and to learn more about the radio station.

“We are absolutely delighted to make Paul Sartori our Charity of the Year and will be working closely with them over the coming year. Paul Sartori are a very busy charity attending many events throughout Pembrokeshire and we will be there alongside them spreading the word about their services and raising funds at the same time. Paul Sartori do some truly amazing work in the county and together we can hopefully make a difference to peoples live in Pembrokeshire,” said Toby.

“Pure West Radio broadcasts 24 hours a day, seven days a week from its local studio situated in Haverfordwest offering its listeners the latest local news, great variety of music and local radio presenters. The community and community organisations are very close to our heart, especially Paul Sartori,” added Toby.

Sandra Dade added: “We are really looking forward to working with Toby and his team and are very grateful to them for choosing Paul Sartori as their charity partner this year. This is a great boost for us, and the end of life care we provide in Pembrokeshire. Charity partnerships are crucial for us and enable us to reach a much wider audience, so thank you Pure West Radio.”

Paul Sartori Hospice at Home Service provides a range of services to Pembrokeshire people living in the final stages of a life limiting illness, including home nursing care, equipment loan, complementary therapy, bereavement and counselling support, clinical nurse specialist in palliative care, physiotherapy, advance care planning and training.

The services provided by the Paul Sartori Hospice at Home Service enable people in the later stages of any life limiting illness to be cared for and to die at home with dignity, independence, pain free and surrounded by those they hold most dear if that is their wish.

Services are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, thanks to the kind generosity of the Pembrokeshire community.
