Fast food, fast track ticket, instant cash, don't wait... exchange it now! We do not like waiting!

Are you facing something new, it looks like an impossible mountain? Perhaps you've been climbing your mountain for years and are ready to run away, you are worn out and sick of it! Maybe the end's in site, but you can't quite reach the summit?

Do you think God has left you stranded? Try adding your name in the blanks of Isaiah 40:28-31:

"Why would you ever complain, O ....... or, whine, ........, saying: "God has lost track of me. He doesn't care what happens to me?"

"Don't you know anything? Haven't you been listening? God doesn't come and go. God lasts. He's Creator of all you can see or imagine. He doesn't get tired out, doesn't pause to catch his breath. And he knows everything, inside and out.

" He energises those who get tired, gives fresh strength to the weak. For even young people tire and drop out, young folk in their prime stumble and fall.

"But those who wait upon God get fresh strength. They spread their wings and soar like eagles, they run and don't get tired, they walk and don't lag behind."

God knows exactly what's going on, He's not on a break - He can give us the strength to carry on...how do we get to this strength?

We trust God and wait!

Waiting doesn't mean doing nothing. We may have to stop, be quiet, listen to where God's directing us; we might have to sort out some things that we know are wrong or make hard choices.

God is perfect, Holy and good. We are imperfect and often bad. Jesus is our answer, he makes us like him. God won't force Himself upon us. It's our choice to follow, wait, or just go ahead on our own.

So often we think we know it all, but sometimes God uses the strangest of ways!

The Lord wants to see The Church rising... not like nonsense quacking ducks, turkeys gobbling each other up or nit picking chickens, but soaring eagles!

The eagle doesn't escape the storm; it uses the storm to lift it higher by rising on the winds that bring the storm.

Wherever you are on your mountain, look to the one who gives strength; rely on the source of life. Trust, wait and, even if it may seem weird, follow. Then you will be refreshed, renewed and able to soar above the storms of life.
