A new footpath means a safer walk for pupils at Manorbier Primary School.
The project was completed by Pembrokeshire County Council, design consultant Thomas Morgan and Associates and local contractor Evan Pritchard.
The path runs from the bus stop near Penuel Baptist Chapel on the Pembroke to Tenby Road (A4139) to the school.
Pembrokeshire County Council cabinet member for transportation and environment, Clr. Brian Hall, said: "As part of the project 125 metres of hedge bank was created and improvements to the visibility on the bend in the road.
"Street lights have also been installed.
"The site now also benefits from a new bus shelter with raised kerbs to improve access from and into buses for the less able. This is part of the county council's commitment to provide safer routes to schools," he added.
