TENBY Museum and Art Gallery has a new honorary curator. Following the retirement of John Beynon, who had been in the post for 10 years, Mike Brew has stepped into the role.
Mr. Brew, a Ph.d graduate in chemistry from Queen's University, Belfast, and previous employee at Texaco, is a familiar figure in Tenby, taking active involvement in the affairs of Greenhill School and Tenby Golf Club. He has been a trustee at Tenby Museum for a number of years.
Regarding his new role, Mike stated: "John has done an excellent job for the last 10 years and will be a difficult act to follow. I have a lot to live up to. However, I have the full support of all the trustees, staff and volunteers and feel that the museum will sustain the high profile of professionalism and innovation it holds within the sector."
Mark Lewis, assistant curator for the past five years, now takes on the position of collections manager.
