FOLLOWING a written ballot at Tuesday night's meeting of Tenby Town Council, members elected to co-opt Mrs. Julie Evans onto the council. Clr. Mrs. Evans will fill the seat vacated by long- standing councillor and former Mayor, Mrs. Maureen Ward, who retired earlier this year. She was considered for the position along with two other candidates who had applied for the role, Mr. Mike Thorne and Mr. Michael Westerman. All three gave a short presentation to council members at the start of the meeting. "We were very lucky to have three such good candidates who I'm sure would have all made very good councillors," commented Clr. Mrs. Caroline Thomas.
