Jane Gibson has taken up the post of director of conservation and planning with the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority.

Jane, who was brought up in Neyland, brings extensive experience to the directorship. She has had previous posts in several local authorities and in the private sector, not just in planning, but also in housing and property departments.

She joins the authority from Pembrokeshire County Council, where she was head of quality, regeneration and tourism. She takes over from Ifor Jones, who recently retired after 31 years with the National Park.

Jane said: "My career to date has been full of variety and thoroughly enjoyable and I hope that my wide experience will be useful to the Park Authority at a time which will undoubtedly see considerable change."
