You can now make your way on foot or on horseback from one common to another in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, thanks to a new bridleway. The link between Tretio and Waun Sebon Commons has just opened. The bridleway is a joint project between sector ranger Ian Meopham, the National Trust who owns the commons, farmer Jim Dale, of Hendre, and the Tir Gofal scheme. Creating the bridleway involved clearing undergrowth, putting up signposts and erecting four new gates, The work was carried out by more than 140 students from Atlantic College in Llantwit Major near Cardiff, helped by the Park's own voluntary wardens. The students created the bridleway while staying at a camp at nearby Pwll Caerog Farm. The new route runs from the Tretio Common road south across the common and farmland to the A487 opposite Waun Sebon. It then crosses the common to link with the bridleway network north of St. Davids airfield.
