THE new art exhibition at Tenby Museum and Art Gallery was officially opened on Friday.

The show features oil and watercolour paintings by Grahame Hurd-Wood and wood sculptures by Johnny Woodford.

The show was opened by Rhodri Price Lewis QC, who spoke highly of the works, and a short humorous speech was given by Grahame's brother, actor Philip Hurd-Wood.

There are over 50 landscape paintings in the gallery, including scenes from Grahame's travels in America, Europe and Asia, as well as local scenes of Tenby and Caldey, St. David's, Porthgain, Abercastle, Caerfai and Freshwater East.

Johnny's wood sculptures constitute a unique series of large-scale books made from Brighton elm.

This sales exhibition runs until Sunday, May 20, and is wellworth a visit. The museum operates the Collectorplan Scheme for the purchasing of pictures.
