For the crazy and brave swimmers taking part in the Saundersfoot New Year's Day Swim, there will be a new medal to reward them this year (see picture right).

Specially designed to incorporate the landscape of Monkstone Point and, of course, Charlie Shivers, the medal is more colourful than the ones in previous years.

Said chairman of swim organisers, Saundersfoot Festivities, Martyn Williams: "The medal is an important part of the swim and to reflect the coastline of the village was a vital ingredient of the new design. We would like to thank Powells Cottage Holidays for their continued support."
