First of all a huge congratulations to the cast of Annie. We had two wonderful nights on Wednesday and Thursday, May 7 and 8, and not a line missed! The performances were well supported, particularly on the last night when we practically had a full house. Many thanks to all those who helped and supported us. On Tuesday, May 13, Year 10, accompanied by Mrs. Macnaughten and Mr. Davies, were one again fortunate enough to visit the Army Careers Day, operation Dragon's March, at Margam Park. It was a very well-organised day, as usual, with tanks, weaponry and examples of modern technical warfare well in evidence. Thank you Major Phillip Rees and his team for such an enjoyable and worthwhile day, both from the fun aspect and for all the careers information available on site. Also on Wednesday, May 14, Mr. Morris and Mr. Dwyer took Year 10 on a very successful and enjoyable geography field trip. At Amroth, the pupils measured cross-sections of the storm beach and completed a pebble survey. At Tenby, the pupils studied traffic and completed a ground floor survey. We were extremely fortunate in having such lovely weather for the event. Congratulations to Daniel Billet, of Year 11, who passed his grade 4 music on the drums. Special bronze medals were awarded for piano scales in preparation for grade 1 to Maziah Mohammed, Maznah Mohammed and Emile Isopescu. Next half term is likely to be just as eventful. We have school examinations coming up, as well as the GCSEs and AS exams, but we also have sports day, prize day and the school trip to look forward to.

Performances of ‘Annie’ were well supported and enjoyed by members of the cast.
